What would you like to make happen?
Date & Time: Tuesday 19 January 2016, 06:45pm – 10:00pm
Location: St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace 78 Bishopsgate, EC2N 4AG London, United Kingdom
For all the talk of self-management, isn’t it time we experienced it in action? What does it look, sound and feel like? Join us for an evening of self-organisation in action where you can experience what one type of meeting of the future – a meeting without manager – might look like.
At our December meeting we explored the role of leadership, in a structured workshop. This time we will examine “leaderlessness” in an “unstructured” workshop – or so it may appear through the lenses of our traditional view of organisations. In this event, we will be self-organising on the spot around YOUR issues and YOUR passions about reinventing work. What are you noticing about the future of work that you haven’t told anyone about?
You are invited to consider what it is you would like to make happen, in your workplace or with others in this network. Bring your thoughts and ideas on the night to share with others. What are you going to do about your intentions? Who knows what collaborations or projects might emerge?
The space will be open for you to follow the issues you are passionate about. To start us off Francois Knuchel and Martin Grimshaw of CATERFLY will open and hold the space and “enable” us to self-organise our event, with a view of achieving two things: Firstly, focus completely on you, the participant, in terms of what you’d like to make happen beyond these events, and secondly to do so in a self-organised fashion, without manager, without speaker, without facilitator, and thus to walk our talk.
Do come along to this important evening. You’ll have deep conversations on issues you care about, and do so in a self-managed way; and you’ll have lots of fun in the process!
